The Frankfurter Kranz is a typical bakery specialty of Frankfurt. An unknown master pastry chef  created this tasty cake in 1735.
The ring of cake with a golden hull of crocant (chopped hazelnut brittle) and its decoration of candied cherries symbolize a golden crown bedecked with jewels. 

The original is traditional from Viennese a popular pastry in Austria. We serve Apple strudel with hot Vanilla Sauce every Saturday. Of course we top it with whipped cream.
